Lewis Hamilton has stitched together a Christmas apology.
On Monday, the race car driver got roasted by the internet after publicly shaming his nephew for wearing a princess dress.
Twitter users blasted the 32-year-old for "bullying" the young boy over his wardrobe choice in the now-deleted video, in which he declared, "boys don't wear princess dresses."

Hamilton returned to social media on Tuesday to apologize for his "inappropriate" comments. Clarifying that he loves how his nephew "feels free to express himself," the fashionisto said he was simply "playing around" with the fierce tyke.
Is this a fitting apology? See his response (below).
Yesterday I was playing around with my nephew and realised that my words were inappropriate so I removed the post. I meant no harm and did not mean to offend anyone at all. I love that my nephew feels free to express himself as we all should.

My deepest apologies for my behaviour as I realise it is really not acceptable for anyone, no matter where you are from, to marginalise or stereotype anyone.

I have always been in support of anyone living their life exactly how they wish and I hope I can be forgiven for this lapse in judgement.
