Shelley Guidry posted a video of her 16-month-old son, Gray, on Facebook that has the internet’s heart melting. The mother from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, wanted to share her son’s special relationship with “Mr. Anthony.”
Mr. Anthony works in sanitation and is Gray’s best friend. In fact, the entire neighborhood seems to adore him. However, Gray especially has taken to the man, even becoming his little helper.
The garbageman and Gray began their bond when the baby was just 5 months old. Now, Gray will play with his sidewalk chalks and Mr. Anthony will often join him for a few minutes during his workday.
He stops by every Monday and Thursday morning. That’s when hewill pick up little Gray, who then helps him push a few bins. Shelley was so touched by their friendship that she posted the video “Mr. Anthony’s morning helper” on Facebook. It instantly went viral.
The sweetness of their little friendship totally makes our Monday and Thursday mornings! Shelley said.
She and others members of the community wanted to shine a light on Mr. Anthony for all his hard work.
