There a two things that will get a betch heated no matter what - a well timed "You are a Miranda" insult, and Coke Zero vs Diet Coke debate. Much like how the sky is blue, Coke is better than Pepsi. But a more nuanced comparison has always been the Diet Coke vs Coke Zero question. If you're asking yourself what the difference between the two is and why you were laughed at when you ordered a Diet Pepsi, then you can promptly sit the fuck down at the kids table and let the grown ups debate one of the most important issues of our time. Diet Coke is to Coke Zero what Regina George was to Cady Heron. But there is finally peace in girl world: Coke Zero is going to a nice farm upstate where no biddie can get screamed at for bringing it as a mixer to a pregame.
The Coca Cola Company has decided to "reinvent" Coke Zero as Coke Zero Sugar. That's like how people who just got fired say they're "exploring new opportunities." Coke Zero Sugar is the girl who got a nose job, her braces off, lost 10 pounds, and grew a cup size over the summer, but she still isn't as hot as Diet Coke.
Coke Zero Sugar still has zero calories and now has zero sugar, but will allegedly taste more like full-calorie Coke. I'm calling bullshit. What Stevia-inspired garage laboratory experiment is this? Even sugar-free gum has calories. I stopped paying attention in chemistry the second the teacher handed out the syllabus, but this is some Professor Snape potion magic. Maybe this new girl will be The Coke Who Lived, or maybe she's just another Weasley. Only time will tell.
At least this gives us a new pre-game theme: a taste test of Diet Coke and Coke Zero Sugar as mixers.
(CNN)Brazil's Lucas di Grassi claimed the Formula E world title in Montreal Sunday after a calamitous weekend for defending champion and arch-rival Sebastien Buemi.
Audi Sport's di Grassi finished seventh in the second of two races in the Canadian City, enough to secure the title ahead of a Buemi, who could only manage 11th.
France's Jean- Eric Vergne took the victory, the first in Formula E for his Techeetah team, with Sweden's Felix Rosenqvist (Mahindra Racing) in second place to claim third in the overall standings.
Di Grassi, who had finished third in the inaugural Formula E season and second last year, was in tears as he crossed the line, having reached the top step of the podium at last.
Buemi had gone into the Montreal rounds with a 10-point advantage over di Grassi, having won six races out of 10 in a dominant season, but a heavy crash in the second practice session was the first of a series of devastating setbacks.
Back on 12th on the grid after having to change the battery in his Renault e.dams car, Buemi fought his way through to finish fourth behind Di Grassi, who took victory and 28 points after claiming pole.
On his way through the field, Buemi clashed with di Grassi's teammate Daniel Abt and he was involved in a heated and very public altercation with the German in the pit lane after race one.
But worse was to follow for the 2016 champion when race officials discovered that the car he had used was underweight, leading to disqualification and leaving his title hopes in tatters.
Buemi's chances of overhauling him were further damaged when Antonio Felix da Costa clipped him from behind on the first corner to leave him at the back of the field.
By the finish di Grassi he had extended his advantage to 24 points, but consolation for Buemi's team was a third straight victory in the constructors' category.
"After two close seasons we finally made it," di Grassi said at the prize presentations. "I'm so proud of my team and myself," he said.

According to a new report out this morning in TMZ, the Biebs has been reassuring his closest friends that he WILL return to performing soon!
Sources connected to the singer are saying that his faith isn't going to stop him from being an artist, and he's still reportedly in and out of studios working on new music even during his spiritual awakening.
He reportedly doesn't have a date in mind yet for when to return, but he apparently has made it VERY clear to friends that he will return, and relatively soon.
It also sounds like he got burned out a little bit; the poor kid had been touring for nearly two full years at this point when he decided he needed the break, so perhaps when he does return he'll find a slightly better work/life balance.
Whatever the case, here's hoping Justin Bieber gets what he needs out of his spiritual awakening and finds himself in a better place personally, professionally, and emotionally very soon! Can't knock the self-searching!
It should be known that Chelsea did NOT see this as a debate — and watching her the whole time, it was clear she treated this as an interview that she really just didn't need — but Tomi really, really needed this night as she's still searching for a home after being apparently fired by Glenn Beck.
No matter, though — a lot of what Tomi said was pretty incoherent (below):

It's not that Tomi lost the "debate" on her ideas — if you're a Democrat, you'll side with Chelsea; if you're a Republican, you'll side with Tomi — it's that the more Tomi Lahren comes out into the forefront the more we see she doesn't know as much as she should know to actually take part in political discussions at this level.
In a series of caps-lock ridden tweets early Saturday, President Trump appeared to blame the GOPs recent failure to pass a health-care bill on the Senates filibuster rulesdespite the fact that those rules had nothing to do with the bills collapse. The very outdated filibuster rule must go. Budget reconciliation is killing R's in Senate. Mitch M, go to 51 Votes NOW and WIN. IT'S TIME! Trump wrote on Twitter. Republican Senate must get rid of 60 vote NOW! It is killing the R Party, allows 8 Dems to control country. 200 Bills sit in Senate. A JOKE! he wrote. The Senates filibuster rule requires 60 votes to end a filibusteran extended debate meant to delay or block a vote. But even as Trump warned that Senate Republicans look like fools if they dont go to a 51 vote majority, many were quick to point out that the filibuster rule was not to blame for the health-care bills failure. The bill needed only a 51-vote majority to pass, but it still failed.
President Trump has threatened to withhold crucial payments to insurance companies if a health-care bill is not approved quickly. In his second Twitter tirade of the day on Saturday, Trump said if legislation is not passed, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon! He was apparently referring to Cost Sharing Reduction payments to insurance companies, which reduce co-payments and deductibles for lower income customers under Obamacare. The White House said earlier that the payments would be made until the end of this month, though no commitment was made past July. The president made similar threats back in April, saying at that time the ensuing chaos in insurance markets would force Democrats to compromise on health-care legislation.
Of course, it could be fairly argued that such meditations on the human form are hardly new. Magazine editorials and newspaper cuttings have created impossible paradigms of beauty out of the human form seemingly since time immemorial – particularly in the case of women – though there is something about the ceaseless drip feeding of such unattainable standards of beauty that feels a little more all encompassing in our modern culture. Perhaps this has something to do with the inexorable rise of social media. Now, Instagram models – purporting to operate in some bizarre sphere of influence while in reality doing little other than furthering their own profiles – dominate our consciousness with sun-soaked vistas and improbably toned bikini-clad snaps that remind us just how far our own reality is from theirs. In such times, reality appears to have become a largely outmoded and obsolete concept. Perhaps this is understandable, after all, what interest does a picture of Bob down the road on his ride-a-long lawnmower hold in the face of such effervescent beauty? That same beauty can be devastating viewing for individuals with issues surrounding body confidence, though. Of late, some with an online presence seem to have been recognising this, and, laudably, have been speaking out on the subject to great effect. Sara Puhto, a 20-year-old health blogger from Finland, has become the latest to shed light on just how damaging it can be to base one’s body aspirations on the unattainable fiction that Instagram modelling can be. Puhto posts encouraging messages on her Instagram page, alongside photographs that highlight just much a photograph can be subtly changed before it is posted online. Here’s one of her messages; “I’m sure we’ve all had that feeling where you’re feeling cute at the beach but then you sit down and all of a sudden feel insecure and don’t know how to sit without your tummy feeling oddly too exposed.“The other day I went to the beach and would have slight moments where I felt like people were looking at my tummy and these feelings of insecurity where I wanted to hide my tummy because “it didn’t look good” sitting down. But I realised that I was being silly and ruining my time at the beach and not enjoying it fully just because of this small silly thing.“You really shouldn’t feel that way! Everyone looks like this when they sit down! Nobody is judging you and even if someone was then that’s a reflection of their inner insecurities, not yours. You are not fat. We all have fat, especially on our tummies and it’s completely normal. And that fat does not make you worth any less as a person! Nobody has abs or a flat tummy 24/7 when they sit down. Don’t let this idea ruin your time because it’s completely normal! If you want to wear a bikini, then wear it cause life’s too short not to wear what you want!! You look amazing so wear it with confidence and you’ll radiate beauty!”Puhto provides such an important reminder for those who feel under-confident about their own bodies. The images we are confronted with every day on Instagram do not necessarily bare any resemblance to reality.
I’m not someone who’s seriously into tattoos. I don’t want one, and I don’t find them particularly appealing. Yet the culture around body art has only gotten more mainstream and popular in recent years, and nowadays it feels like you have to look really hard to find someone who hasn’t ever been inked before. Maybe in the future everyone will have one? Who knows?
But even I, as naive and unschooled as I am about tattoos, know that its an art where originality is valued and tackiness deeply abhorred. Its why derisive terms like “tramp stamp” have entered our colloquial lexicon, to describe body art that’s perceived as being gauche or unsophisticated. In their endless quest to attain a tattoo that’s utterly unique, enthusiasts have gone to more and more extreme lengths to modify themselves. Some people cover their entire skin in tattoos, in a process that’s halfway between a ritual and an addiction. Others employ facial tattoos and creepy markings in order to give themselves a frightening, intimidating appearance. There are some people who see tattoos as a way of telling a visual joke, and use their body as a means of delivering a punchline of sorts. Is it worth it? Probably not. But is it often hilarious? Absolutely. This week however we’ve managed to learn about what might just be the weirdest, and funniest tattoo ever devised. A truck driver from the North of England has posted images of his new self-devised tattoo on social media, and it really deserved to be looked at twice. You’ll either laugh out loud or do a double-take when you see this dude shirtless. Cumbrian truckerKenny Ollerenshaw decided to go big or go home with his weird chest tattoo, which makes it look like his head is gigantic and attached to a tiny shrunken half-naked body which is seemingly driving a go-kart … wow.Let’s all pause and take a moment out of your lives to appreciate what I had to write just now. The 36-year-old father-of-one, who hails from Silloth, says that he loves his “interactive” tattoo because it moves along with him. The body art took four hours to finish, and apparently Kenny’s young son loves it. “He thought it was cool but I wasn’t expecting it to go viral, it’s all gone a bit mad and my son has told my mum that I’m famous,” he stated. “I keep looking at it in the mirror and thinking it’s just crazy. You should see what happens when I tense my pecs. My family are all on board with it. The way I look at it is if people don’t like it then they don’t have to wear it.” TattooistRichard Batey, the man responsible for the tattoo, stated, “It’s the first of its kind in the world. I have a good mechanical understanding from working in the car industry. When Kenny came in he was up for having this done as a chest piece. The result is just the start. There’s a long way to go.” Batey added, “It has 1.1 million views and 2million likes on Facebook – and it isn’t even finished yet. It’s what I’d call an interactive tattoo and it’s more of a shocker than anything else. It’s got the ability to make an entire room of people smile and laugh and get them talking.” He’s got a point there, but all I’m saying is that I wouldn’t have it done to me. Would you?

Law enforcement officials from around the world released a statement in apparent response to President Donald Trumps speech Friday to cops in New York in which heappeared to encourage police brutality.
After his speech, the International Association of Chiefs of Policepublished a blog postthat detailed its use-of-force policies and training, highlighting the need for officers to ensure that any use of force is carefully applied and objectively reasonable.
The association explained that officers are trained to treat all individuals with dignity and respect.
This is the bedrock principle behind the concepts of procedural justice and police legitimacy, the IACPwrote.
Managing use of force is one of the most difficult challenges faced by law enforcement agencies. The ability of law enforcement officers to enforce the law, protect the public, and guard their own safety, the safety of innocent bystanders, and even those suspected or apprehended for criminal activity is very challenging. For these reasons, law enforcement agencies develop policies and procedures, as well as conduct extensive training, to ensure that any use of force is carefully applied and objectively reasonable considering the situation confronted by the officers.
Law enforcement officers are trained to treat all individuals, whether they are a complainant, suspect, or defendant, with dignity and respect. This is the bedrock principle behind the concepts of procedural justice and police legitimacy.
While speaking at a community college in Long Island about the administrations efforts to take on immigrant gangs, Trump joked that officers should be rougher with suspects and suggested letting them hit their heads on police cars.
When you see these thugs being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon, you just see them thrown in, rough, and I said, Please dont be too nice, Trump said.
Like when you guys put somebody in the car and youre protecting their head, you know, the way you put their hand over, like, dont hit their head and theyve just killed somebody, he added. Dont hit their head, I said, You can take the hand away, OK?
His comments elicited cheers from the audience of officers.
The IACP is made up of 27,000 law enforcement professionals representing more than 130 countries, according to the associations website. The IACP did not immediately respond to HuffPost when asked why the association published the statement Friday.
The IACP isnt the only group that spoke out against Trumps remarks.
The Suffolk County Police Department in New York tweeted Friday that it has strict rules and procedures when handling prisoners, adding that any violations to those rules are treated extremely seriously.
As a department, we do not and will not tolerate roughing up of prisoners, SCPD tweeted later.
Similarly, the Gainesville Police Department in Florida said it rejected Trumps speech, which it claimed endorsed and condoned police brutality.

Engineering student Ronan Byrne's has invented the ultimate guilt machine that lets you watch Netflix, but only while you pedal your butt off.
Byrne hooked up an Arduino to control the functioning of Netflix through the movement of the cycle. If you you stop cycling or go below your the target speed too long, your Netflix video willstop - until you pick back up, of course. TBH, it looks a little annoying to have all those pop ups telling you how to watch, but it also looks like it works.
Byrne goes into detail about the project on his blog, but long story short: if you want to watch, you gotta feel the burn.
TheEmoji Movie, a movie about emojis with the word "movie" in the title, is currently polling at an impressive 0 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Who knows what could be factoring into the film's low score maybe people don't like emojis, maybe people don't want emojis to be alive, maybe all the critics are too old to get it. Or, maybe the movie about the smiley faces doesn't have a strong enough political message.
Stephen Colbert is here to turn things around. The Late Show host imagined a Trump cameo in the movie Thursday, in which the President portrays a Russian flag, ranting about Russia to a cookie.

Police brutality has been a huge conversation in America throughout history, and the president is finally speaking up about it.
But of course when Donald Trump opened his butthole mouth on the subject, it was to say that he felt police weren't brutal ENOUGH to the "thugs" they arrest!
POTUS spoke in front of law enforcement officers on Long Island, New York on Friday to discuss efforts to combat the violent MS-13 gang, and received resounding applause when he promoted police brutality.
While thanking the officers on all the great work they do in keeping the streets safe — something we all commend — the president took a nose dive into Trumpsanity suggesting the officers should hit suspects' heads on the doors of their police cars.
He mused:
"When you see these towns and when you see these thugs being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon, you just see them thrown in, rough, and I said, Please don't be too nice.' Like when you guys put somebody in the car and you're protecting their head, you know, the way you put their hand over, like, don't hit their head and they've just killed somebody, don't hit their head, I said, You can take the hand away, OK?'"
The room responded to his remarks with applause:

Though, to be fair, the suspect in Trump's hypothetical scenario HAD just killed someone.
Not to mention, the MS-13 gang has severely affected the Long Island community recently, as civilians have been rocked by a string of high-profile murders in the area.
The Shit-Stirrer in Chief continued to say that his administration would be "changing" laws to no longer protect the criminals, adding:
"For years and years, [laws have] been made to protect the criminal. Totally protect the criminal, not the officers. You do something wrong, you're in more jeopardy than they are. These laws are stacked against you. We're changing those laws We're going to enforce our laws, protect our borders and support our police like our police have never been supported before."
Yup, this all goes back to border protection. The president has often spoken about the "criminal cartel" MS-13 — which has origins in Central America — and its relationship to illegal immigration.
No one is arguing that the MS-13 is a problem, though some experts have raised concerns about the Trump administration using the gang to justify its controversial immigration policies.
As for Trump's police brutality comments, there's a huge difference between rallying officers and encouraging "rough rides" like the ones that killed Freddie Grey and Philando Castile.
