Could you imagine being buried alive? That might be one of the most horrific things to imagine, but thankfully, the man in this video survives it.
Marc Jacobson has been snowboarding for 12 years, so most would assume he’s basically a professional. He knows the ins and outs, he enjoys the sport, and he participates as a leisurely activity.
That doesn’t mean that accidents don’t happen, and it definitely doesn’t mean that Marc was exempt from snow blunders.
When he was going off of a 30-foot jump, he lost some balance and ended up landing into the snow on his head rather than his board. The force of the drop pushed him through several feet of snow, and hewas completely submerged, besides his board, when his friends got over to him.
His friend, Stephen, had a GoPro body camera on his chestand captured all of the frantic action on tape. As he slid over, there was already one person trying to get him out, but Stephen quickly took over.
He asked his friend if he could breathe (thankfully he could) and then continued to dig out and pull, carefully.
This moment is nerve-racking to watch, so I can’t imagine how it was to live through it. Thankfully, everyone ends up OK!
This ski trip and rescue is one that no one will ever forget.
