Drake Has Made A Not-So-Subtle Play For Angelina Jolie And People Are Loving It

From 2005 to 2016, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were Hollywood’s ultimate power couple. Dubbed Brangelina, they appeared to be a particularly strong pair – so strong, in fact, that they had six children together, but sadly Mr. and Mrs. Smith’s romance was not to last.

Jolie’s health problems put an irrevocable strain on their marriage, and whilst the two attempted to rekindle their romance by working on By the Sea (2015) together, it could not be saved, and the world was shocked when Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016. Since the power couple’s split, Pitt has been linked to a number of other women, including 21-year-old actress Ella Purnell who played the younger version of Jolie in Disney’s Maleficent (2014), however, this romance was quickly denied by a source close to the actor. Most recently, the 53-year-old actor has been linked to 2017’s highest-paid actress 27-year-old Jennifer Lawrence, and Star magazine went as far as to report that the actor had said he’d “landed the woman of his dreams” in Lawrence, but this romance has also been denied. Jolie has not currently been linked to any men since her split with Pitt. Instead, she has put her family first and put on a brave face through the break up of her marriage and her health struggles – although many have speculated whether her eating disorder has returned. Regardless of her struggles, Jolie remains one of the most beautiful women in the world. Now that it’s been more than a year since Brangelina broke up, other men are now throwing their hat in the ring in a bid to take the 42-year-old actress off the market – the most recent of whom is 31-year-old rapper Drake. Drake’s bid for Jolie’s affection, however, was bizarre, to say the least. Just yesterday, the rapper posted a sorrowful black and white photograph of himself sitting at a dinner table with the caption “Stood Me Up.” However, no woman’s name was explicitly mentioned. So how did people know that he was attempting to flirt with Jolie? Well, Instagram gives users the option to tag other people in their photographs, and the rapper had tagged a fan account of the 42-year-old actress because she does not use the photosharing app herself. It didn’t take long for people on social media to realize what the rapper was doing, and they were quick to mock him for his attempt to flirt with Jolie. But who can honestly blame him for trying? After all, Vanity Fair readers voted Jolie as the “Most Beautiful Woman In the World”. “LMFAO drake just took flirting to another level. Angelina jolie (sic),” wrote Twitter user iKeepthefamilyclose. Jolie is renowned for her humanitarian work and Drake recently hit the headlines after stopping a concert when he realized that a woman in the crowd was being harassed by a male audience member, so maybe the two would actually have something in common. However, not everyone approved of the rapper’s would-be romance with the actress, and some speculated about what her soon-to-be ex-husband Pitt would have to say if Jolie replaced him with a younger model like Drake. “Drake better not get Angelina Jolie bruh,” wrote Twitter user Wee. “Your boy too wild,” wrote #FreeMeekMill. “Brad Pitt should do a drive-by for control.” Only time will tell whether Drake’s bizarre attempt at flirting will have any effect on Jolie, but the rapper is unlikely to be holding out much hope. However, whilst Instagram probably wouldn’t be Prince Charming’s platform of choice for wooing the woman of his dreams, it’s unlikely that Jolie will be shocked or even surprised by the rapper’s advances after it was claimed that 19-year-old Iranian teenager Sahar Tabar had over 50 plastic surgeries as part of her quest “to do anything” to look like the actress – with truly horrifying results. Thankfully, however, it later emerged that Tabar’s look was not what it appeared to be and had been created with prosthetics and makeup. But we dread to think what Jolie thought when her shocking pictures went viral around the world.
